Our corporate law practice is focused on helping businesses navigate the legal complexities of their commercial transactions, corporate governance, and compliance, both internally and externally. We provide legal advice on all aspects of corporate law, including formation, corporate governance, and complex contract negotiations.
CONSTRUCTION & REAL ESTATE LAW
We have extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of construction and real estate law. This experience stems from 10 years of practice at an Am Law 200 firm and as General Counsel for a national design-build construction and real estate development company.
ARCHITECTURE & ENGINEERING LAW
Our experience with clients in the architecture and engineering industries is based as both outside and in-house counsel. Currently, Loucks Law is the acting General Counsel for a national geotechnical engineering firm.

The Founder & Attorney at Law
Nicole M. Loucks
Nicole (Nicki) founded Loucks Law, LLC in January 2024 after spending over two decades in prestigious in-house counsel roles at both private and government sector entities, and at a large Am Law 200 firm. Through her breadth of experience, Nicki gained an invaluable and personal perspective as an executive and trusted legal advisor, creating a strategic business-minded approach to the advice she provides to her clients that result in actionable and effective solutions for their businesses.
Nicki’s unique appreciation of what organizations truly want and need from their in-house and outside counsel was the genesis for founding Loucks Law, LLC. All businesses need experienced, efficient legal advice, but understandably most do not want to spend their resources paying large law firm rates or don’t yet need a permanent in-house general counsel. That is where Nicki and her firm come in, bringing an experienced in-house counsel approach to your company’s outside counsel needs.
Prior to founding Loucks Law, Nicki served as the General Counsel for the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, advising on all legal issues for each department of its three airports, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, and enterprise risk management initiatives. She also served on the executive team, and as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the Board of Directors. Nicki’s other prior in-house counsel experience included serving as the General Counsel to a national design-build construction and real estate development company, and Firm Counsel to NBBJ, a global architecture firm. Before going in-house, Nicki was a senior attorney practicing many areas of law for ten years at Dinsmore & Shohl, a large Am Law 200 firm in Columbus.
Nicki is well-respected in the legal community, earning professional achievements such as recognition as an Ohio Super Lawyer® Rising Star in 2010, 2011, and 2013, awards given to only 5% of Ohio lawyers in law firm practice. Nicki holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from The Ohio State University, a Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, and is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio and Illinois.
